We understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and amendments work when you book services through Ghilli Dilli Tours and Travel (OPC) Private Limited (“Ghilli Dilli”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

  1. Overview & When This Policy Applies

This Policy applies to all travel bookings made through Ghilli Dilli, including flights, hotels, holiday packages, tours, cruises, transport, visas, insurance, and related services.

Cancellation and refund rules vary by service provider. In case of a conflict, supplier rules will apply first, and Ghilli Dilli’s policy will apply alongside.

All cancellations must be requested by the traveler in writing via the registered email or WhatsApp used at the time of booking.

  1. If You Need to Cancel Your Booking

If you choose to cancel your booking, the following will apply:

  • Cancellation charges depend on how early you inform us before the travel date
  • Charges increase as the travel date approaches
  • Refunds are subject to supplier rules and eligibility

For bookings with multiple services (e.g., flight + hotel + tour), each component may have separate cancellation terms. Refund will apply only to the refundable part of the booking, after deductions.

Important: Some bookings become non-refundable from the time of purchase. This will be informed at the time of booking.

Refund Method

Refunds are credited back to the original mode of payment unless otherwise agreed in writing. Travel credit may be offered if the customer prefers (only where available).

No Interest Payable

Refunds do not include interest or compensation for processing time.

  1. Non-Refundable Services & No-Show Policy

Non-Refundable Services

Some services are strictly non-refundable due to supplier rules. These include (but are not limited to):

  • Special or promotional airfares
  • Non-refundable hotel bookings
  • Visa fees & consulate charges
  • Travel insurance premiums
  • Attraction tickets, activities & excursions
  • Bookings during peak seasons, festivals, or special events
  • Ghilli Dilli’s service, processing, or consultation fees

No-Show Policy

A “no-show” is when a traveler fails to use a confirmed service without prior cancellation.

  • No-shows are fully non-refundable
  • For flights, missing one sector may cancel the entire itinerary with no refund
  • For group bookings, no-shows may affect pricing for remaining travelers
  1. Changing Your Booking (Amendments)

Some changes are treated as cancellations and may attract cancellation charges. This includes:

  • Change of travel dates or trip duration
  • Change of destination, hotel, or room type
  • Name changes after ticketing
  • Reduction in number of travelers for group bookings

If the service provider treats the change as a cancellation, the cancellation fee will apply, and a new booking may be required at the current rates.

  1. Partial Refunds & Deductions

If only part of a booking is eligible for a refund:

Refunds will be issued after deducting:

  • Supplier cancellation fees
  • Non-refundable components
  • Taxes/charges that suppliers do not refund
  • Ghilli Dilli’s service/administrative fees
  • FX difference or bank/payment gateway fees (if applicable)

For group bookings, the portion refunded may change if shared costs are affected.

  1. Peak-Season, Holiday & Special-Event Bookings

During high-demand periods such as festivals, public holidays, summer vacations, or major events (e.g., expos, concerts, sports events):

  • Stricter cancellation rules apply
  • Refunds may not be allowed at all
  • Supplier policies take precedence over general rules

If you cancel during these periods, partial or zero refund may apply.

  1. Events Beyond Control (Force Majeure)

Sometimes travel plans are affected by circumstances beyond anyone’s control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, war, pandemics, government orders).

In such cases:

  • Ghilli Dilli will assist with rescheduling or securing refunds/credits where possible
  • Refunds are not guaranteed, as supplier rules will apply
  • Additional costs due to changes will be the traveler’s responsibility
  1. Refunds for International Bookings (Currency & Bank Impact)

For international bookings:

  • Refund amounts may vary due to currency exchange rates
  • Bank, forex, or payment gateway charges may apply
  • Any gain or loss due to conversion difference will be the traveler’s responsibility

If refunds must be issued in INR, the exchange rate on the refund date will apply.

  1. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks

If you have a concern about a payment, please contact us first so we can review and resolve the matter.

Chargebacks raised for valid, authorized transactions or for services governed by non-refundable policies will be considered invalid.

If a dispute is raised incorrectly, Ghilli Dilli reserves the right to recover losses, fees, and penalties associated with the chargeback.
